| Feed one (1) to three (3) pellets two (2) to three (3) times daily based on the size of your betta. Remove all remaining food after the feeding period to avoid over-feeding and the water quality problems which can result from this action. Bettas are finicky eaters and often resist a new type of food. Continued use will ensure acceptance. It is not uncommon for bettas to take up to five (5) days to adjust to a new food. |
Wheat flour, fish meal, soybean meal, gluten meal, krill meal, wheat germ meal, cuttlefish oil, brewers dried yeast, dried a. niger fermentation extract, astaxanthin, garlic, monosodium glutamate, DL-methionine, dried seaweed meal, vitamins (including stabilized vitamin C) and minerals. NOTE: Care should be taken when comparing ingredient panels from one product to another as the most important point about any aquatic diet is the balance of the nutrients, namely the proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, vitamins and minerals. Without properly balancing these components the fish are unable to use the nutrients properly and thus can suffer deficiencies while causing a deterioration of the water quality from the unutilized food. Hikari® spends considerable money and time in our aquatic lab trying to optimize the nutrient balance of each and every diet to get as close to complete utilization as is humanly possible. For this reason the composition of a diet may change from time to time (if better ingredients are sourced and available on a consistent basis as an example) without negatively impacting fish health nor the quality of the water they live in. With Hikari® the health of the fish is always the foremost priority in any diet development or revision. MSG is included in this formula in a trace amount as a flavor attractant only. Extensive feeding trials were done prior to its inclusion to verify no negative impact to the health of the betta would result and none were found. |
